Suddenly Logic 9 could see the interface and all my record enable buttons reappeared. Sure enough, double-clicking on the firmware download file while plugged into the X-USB updated the firmware.
#BEHRINGER X32 USB AUDIO SAMPLE RATE UPDATE#
After a lot of useless web scouring I found a fellow on a few different forums who said you had to update from a laptop plugged into the X-USB expansion card.

Advanced engineering and meticulous design deliver stellar sonic performance at an extremely affordable price. The USB slot on the console was not the way to do it. The BEHRINGER X32 Producer features a fluid workflow coupled with a fully interactive user interface that has immediate familiarity and instills quick confidence. I opted to update the card, but I couldn’t find any procedure for doing so.

Either update your OS or update the card. On the other hand, Midas-designed preamps on the Behringer XR18 capture audio at a sample rate of 48kHz. Midas PRO preamps capture audio at a sample rate of 96kHz.
#BEHRINGER X32 USB AUDIO SAMPLE RATE INSTALL#
If you plan on using the X-USB card with any Mac running 10.6.8 – you HAVE to install the update. Both digital mixers use very similar software, have the same number of inputs and outputs, USB Type B port, and a built-in router. 48 bidirectional audio channels 48 kHz over Neutrik etherCON-terminated. More tricky is the fact that this update did not update the firmware for the X-USB card. The BEHRINGER X32 has changed the game by completely rethinking what is. Firmware found and updated, and iPad remote control functionality restored! I had to soft-boot the Producer (switch the sample rate back and forth from 44.1 and 48) in order to restart the console – AND hold the VIEW button for the USB slot while I did it. The board is supposed to find the USB stick and automatically install the new firmware. Plug it into the USB slot at the top of the board and power the board up. Just download the firmware update from Behringer’s website. I did have a couple of minor issues, and I’ll answer them right here in case it benefits anyone out there.įirst, the Producer shipped with out of date firmware. I use the X-32 Producer, and so far I’m blown away by the price to feature ratio. The X32 ships with the X-USB card in the expansion slot, but by installing the Behringer X-Dante card in this slot, your mixer will interface with Dante networks using either standard 100Mbit/s or Gigabit Network infrastructure with DSCP-based QoS, with support for mixed sample and bit rates coexisting on the same network. The X-32 is a cool product in all it’s varieties.
